This question comes up quite often during consultations with patients. Most patients are concern whether expired medications can cause harm to them when ingested. The good news is that most medications are not harmful even if you inadvertently took them after their expiry dates. In fact, medicine do not suddenly become useless just after their expiry dates. Most are still good for use.
