Liberation's Dawn

Liberation's Dawn

The final fetter falls away,
Like mist before the rising sun,
At last, I've found the deathless way,
The wheel of birth and death undone.

Ignorance's veil, so long in place,
Now shredded by wisdom's piercing light,
In this moment of boundless grace,
No shadow left, no trace of night.

Craving's fire, once all-consuming,
Extinguished, not a spark remains,
The heart, in peace, no more assuming,
Free from all conceptual chains.

Compassion flows without an edge,
For all beings still caught in samsara's net,
Unshakeable, this freedom's pledge,
While equanimity is firmly set.

Joy bubbles up, yet calm prevails,
No elation can disturb this peace,
As ultimate truth now unveils,
All sense of separate self does cease.

The task is done, the path complete,
No more becoming, no more strife,
Nibbana's bliss, so cool and sweet,
This is the end of cyclic life.

Gratitude to the Buddha's way,
To teachers true and Sangha pure,
Till dawned this final, perfect day,
Their guidance helped me to endure.

Now free to serve without condition,
A beacon for those still on the road,
And realize their Buddha condition,
To help them shed their heavy load.
