{"id":868,"date":"2015-11-02T02:28:40","date_gmt":"2015-11-02T02:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.klinikong.com\/?p=868"},"modified":"2015-11-02T02:28:40","modified_gmt":"2015-11-02T02:28:40","slug":"interrupted-sleep-worse-than-not-getting-enough-sleep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/klinikong.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/02\/interrupted-sleep-worse-than-not-getting-enough-sleep\/","title":{"rendered":"Interrupted sleep worse than not getting enough sleep"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Being interrupted during sleep is likely to affect your mood more than not getting enough sleep, a study suggests.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, USA studied 62 men and women and split them into three experimental conditions.<\/p>\n<p>One group were subject to \u201cforced awakenings\u201d during sleep, others went to bed late and the last group went to sleep uninterrupted.<\/p>\n<p>The study analysed the participants over three days and published their research in the journal <em>Sleep<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The group who were regularly woken displayed a \u201clow positive mood\u201d after the first night, however after the second had a reduction of 31 per cent in positive mood.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-my\/health\/wellness\/interrupted-sleep-worse-than-not-getting-enough-sleep-study-claims\/ar-BBmF7a7?li=AAaD1A0&amp;ocid=mailsignoutmd\" target=\"_blank\">Click here for the complete report.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being interrupted during sleep is likely to affect your mood more than not getting enough sleep, a study suggests.
