B. ENVIRONMENT

In a word, our whole environment is "bad" - badly polluted. Just about everything we eat, drink, breath, touch or apply (e.g. cosmetics) is polluted and toxic, leading to a weakened immune system, which leads to all sort of serious or chronic ailments like cancer and heart disease. Apart from pollution, there are pollutants also. The worst two are (a) cigarettes and (b) alcohol. Between them, they account for one-third of all cancers, most of them with poor survival rates like liver, throat and lung cancers. So, with our body daily being bombarded by pollution and pollutants, how do we fence off BIG-C as the Americans call cancer? Food is one big factor. Other factors? These are:

C. EXERCISE

I consider this a key factor in my own survival, for no sooner was I out of hospital than I was doing exercise - walks morning and evening, everyday. That way, I was pumping lots of oxygen (and probably "chi") into my cells. So, exercise, exercise and exercise; walk, jog, swim, skip, climb stairs, keep your heart pumping oxygen in, for as stated in PARA A (b), cancer cells cannot survive in an oxygen-rich body. Besides physical exercise, do deep abdominal breathing exercises as well. They also put more oxygen into your cells. Other useful anti-cancer factors are:

D. SLEEP

Ensure you have regular 7-8 hours nightly sleep. Nothing weakens our immune system more than sleep deprivation.

E. WATER
The foregoing are all Body Factors. We come now to other important factors, the MIND and the SPIRIT. I personally believe they contributed significantly to my cancer survival.
